"I'm just sittin' here eatin' my green beans!"
(Kyd Duchovny)
February 24, 2009 - So, we're going to get a Season 9, are we? Well, that could be a good thing and it could be a very bad thing after the debacle that was Wrecking Ball Lang's recent visit. *shudder* Here's hoping they do a massive mindwipe and undo that bit of excreable history. But in view of the official announcement, we have to start our plea again for All 22 episodes for Lois! This time it's called Operation Wild Cherry:
February 16, 2009 - Okay, so I'm going to give it a chance to dig out of the hole they've created. I honestly can't see how they can repair the damage done, but "Infamous" is coming in a month so we'll wait to see if the show can salvage what's been lost since "Bride" aired.
February 6, 2009 - While the jungle drums continue overhead, thought I'd add this lil thing to the site. Someone got their Wacom tablet!

January 30, 2009 - This image is from The Wigmeister's sig and sums it up nicely. "Requiem", it turns out is the funeral of the series. January 23, 2009 - The end of "Smallville" happened last night. Forget whether they can sign Tom Welling to do another season. They killed it last night in "Bulletproof" when they turned Clark Kent into a jerk of major proportions and made any growth of his character a joke. Instead of America's Top Model, watch "Smallville" - it's all about the hair and looking good, and nothing about a heroic character's growth. Nothing about continuity of storylines. Oh wait. Yeah, there is one thing that continues throughout - Clana. The idiot Clark will always go back to his teenage self pining for Lana. They'll always have Clark and Lana kisses. But growing up? Becoming something like the guy who'll don the tights and protect a planet? Not a fripping chance. And as pathetic as they made Clark in this episode, the betrayal to fans of Clark and Lois' continuing adventures was severe. In the extreme. It would be humiliating to have the brave, strong character that was Lois Lane, return to episodes and be forced to "love" this Clark Kent. Ghastly. Someone get a kryptonite knife and put this show out of our misery. I for one am done. If you look around, the site has undergone a few adjustments. Unlike Clark on "Smallville", I don't keep going back for more kicks in the teeth. January 20, 2009 - The brilliant Roger Federer has begun his march to the Australian Open Slam win, working his way through his match with Andreas Seppi in three straight sets and tonight he's going up against the Russian Korolev. Korolev is a wildcard, so I'm holding my breath, even though it seems Roger is fully cognizant of the potential risks (and we know he's fully capable of meeting such risks). I want him to take all four slams this year. Just to shut up those who continue to talk as though he's retired or feeble. Sheesh January 16, 2009 - Ringing in the new year very quietly this year. Paying bills, doing laundry, washing dishes, and still haven't got my hands and feet cleared up after the fall in 2007. Watched "Legion" last night. I miss Lois, but it was okay. Not great, but okay. I'm not a huge comic book fan so all those nods to the comics just blow right past me. There were some interesting bits of conflict between Clark and the Legion that I liked. But there was also a moment between him and Lana that, after the events of "Bride" make me want to bitchslap Clark. Just when you think the kid is growing up, he pulls something like that. Left me shaking my head and wishing Lois was there to punch him in the arm and make him snap out of the Clana spell. Sheesh. And we have to wait until March for any hope of Clois??? Egods. December 30, 2008 - The year is almost over and so many events have come and gone undocumented. Movies I've seen ("Twilight", "Benjamin Button", "The Day the Earth Stood Still"), movies I missed ("Spirit", "Madagascar 2", "The Reader"). Busy trying to get things squared away so I can really make contributions here, but it's going to take some time. Something else that's occupied me over the Christmas break is the whole way of "lottery win" thinking I suffer from. Where all my larger goals are left in the hands of some future where I win the lottery. That would be bad enough, but I don't even buy lottery tickets! What's up with that??? I mean, I've heard of instant gratification run amok, but this is going too far, don't you think? Well, I do, so I'm putting a plan in motion to address a downpayment of a home of my own when I retire. The way I save money it could take that long. I'm going to work on changing that, too. Old News

Still the sweetest Clark and Lois scene yet!
Saw "Twilight" and it ROCKS!
Just home from seeing "Twilight" in an audience full of teen and pre-teen girls. Oh my god, I'd forgotten we squeal like that! Hilarious! The hero first comes on screen and the squeals were piercing. They oohed, they aahhhed, they giggled, and made it an altogether enjoyable experience. I remember reading the book and having a similar reaction vis a vis the teenage tone. But it didn't stop me burning through the rest of the books in record breaking time. And I'm looking forward to the future movies!!!
I'm just starting on Lord Hornblower and only have one more in the series of eleven books left after this one. YIKES! Such an enjoyable series! Such an enjoyable character! And not just Horatio. Captain Bush, Mr. Brown, and a host of others. What a treat!
Roger in Shanghai
Oh yeah, it's time for the last tournament of the season and another chance for Roger to build his confidence for next season. I don't care what the ranking says, he's always number one to me. Such a beautiful, graceful, brilliant tennis player!
Meet Billy
Such a beautiful, fun cat, I can't not share!!
Psssst. Don't tell Bruckman!
Simplify, simplify - that applies to webspaces, too.
Welcome to the new and improved (really?) website. Still a work in progress, so expect changes anytime.
Not a lot of content yet, but I'm hoping to house my fan-related tidbits here, as well as samples of my watercolor paintings (provided I ever get back to it).
